With virtual reality's increased
popularity, a major factor preventing
the wider adoption of virtual reality is simulator sickness. Simulator
sickness is an effect, like that of motion sickness, in which users experience
motion-sickness-like symptoms such as headaches, nausea and dizziness and is
known to be caused by a sensory mismatch.
Simulator sickness most commonly occurs
when moving in a virtual environment, known as locomotion. These locomotion
methods include flying, driving and walking in a virtual environment.
However, current locomotion methods are
still prone to inducing simulator sickness
